AC Repair — Book a Visit Today

We repair residential air conditioning across California and Nevada, from an AC that runs but blows warm to a condenser that hums and quits. Most calls come down to a failed capacitor, a burned contactor, a seized condenser fan motor, low refrigerant from a leak, a clogged filter choking airflow, or a compressor that will not start under load. A visit starts with your description of what changed, then we check the thermostat call, the electrical side, airflow, and refrigerant pressures before we tell you what is wrong and what it takes to fix it. Many repairs are done the same visit because the common parts ride on the truck. Call us with your address and what the system is doing, and we will schedule the soonest opening.

AC Repair — residential AC being serviced

The AC symptoms we hear most

  • It runs all day and the house never cools down Low refrigerant from a leak, restricted airflow, or a coil packed with dust
  • The outside unit hums but the fan is not spinning Failed capacitor or a seized condenser fan motor
  • The vents blow air, but the air is warm Compressor not running, contactor failure, or loss of charge
  • It cools for twenty minutes, then shuts off and restarts Short cycling from overheating, a dirty coil, or a failing control
  • The breaker trips every time the AC kicks on Hard-starting compressor, shorted motor winding, or a wiring fault

Search for it as air conditioning repair or air conditioner repair and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Check the thermostat is set to cool with a temperature below room temperature, and put fresh batteries in if the screen is dim or blank.
  • 2Look at your electrical panel for a tripped breaker on the air conditioner circuit. If it trips again after you reset it once, stop and call us.
  • 3Pull the filter and hold it up to the light. If you cannot see through it, replace it with the same size and see if airflow improves.
  • 4Walk out to the outdoor unit and clear away leaves, cottonwood fluff, weeds and stored items so air can move through all sides, and confirm supply and return vents inside are open and unblocked.

AC Repair — quick answers

My AC is not cooling at all. Is that always a refrigerant problem?

No. A no-cooling call is just as often a failed capacitor, a burned contactor, a dead condenser fan motor, or a filter so loaded that airflow collapses. We test the electrical side and airflow before touching refrigerant, so you are not paying for charge the system does not need.

Can you just add refrigerant and be done?

Refrigerant does not get used up, so if the level is low there is a leak somewhere. We look for the leak, repair it where the repair holds, then charge the system. Topping off without finding the leak means you call us again in a few weeks.

How long does an air conditioning repair usually take?

Common repairs like a capacitor, contactor or condenser fan motor are often finished in the same visit. Leak repairs, coil work and compressor replacement take longer and may need a part ordered. We tell you which situation you are in before any work starts.

Should I keep running the system while I wait for you?

If the breaker is tripping, if you hear grinding or screeching, or if you smell something burning, shut it off at the thermostat and leave it off. Otherwise, running the fan can keep air moving. Never reset a breaker repeatedly to keep it going.

Is it worth repairing an older air conditioner?

Often yes, especially when the failure is a motor or a control part and the rest of the system is sound. We look at the age, the condition of the coil and compressor, and how many repairs it has needed, then give you both options and let you choose.

What counts as an emergency AC repair?

No cooling during a stretch of extreme heat, especially with infants, older adults or anyone with a health condition in the house, plus any burning smell, smoke or repeated breaker trips. Call us and describe it, and we will move you up the schedule where we can.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and what the thermostat reads. That tells us whether to bring parts for a cooling fault or a heating fault.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant pressures, and the outdoor unit. You get told what failed and why, in plain words, before anything is replaced.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then run the system and measure the results at the vents. If a part needs ordering, we say so and give you a realistic window instead of a vague promise.

Why homeowners call us

  • Built for real valley heatWe work in areas where afternoons sit above 110 degrees and systems run for months without a break. That shapes how we size repairs, check capacitors and contactors, and judge whether a compressor is genuinely done.
  • Attic and package unitsPlenty of homes across the region run attic air handlers or rooftop package units instead of a garage furnace and a side-yard condenser. We are used to the access, the duct runs, and the drain issues those setups bring.
  • Dust and debris we expectAg dust, cottonwood fluff and grass clippings pack condenser coils and starve a system of airflow. We clean what we find and show you the difference, rather than adding refrigerant to a unit that just could not breathe.
  • Heating too, not only ACFurnace repair, heat pump faults and no-heat calls get the same attention as summer work. Ignition problems, cracked or failing components and short cycling all get diagnosed before we recommend anything larger.
  • All major brands, gas & electricFrom Carrier and Trane to Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and Bryant, serviced independently.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.
